  • Do you have a minimum order quantity for international shipping?

    Yes, we have a 4 door minimum order quantity.

  • What sectors do you work in?

    Whilst our doors cater for most sectors, we specialise in construction, fire, security, flood.

  • Do you have any distributors in my local area?

    Whilst we currently do not have any local representation, we are actively seeking trade partners to work with.

  • What countries do you export to?

    We can ship from any UK destination to the port of your choice based upon FOB, CFR, Exworks incoterms, including the handling of all shipping documents ready for port entry. Contact us to find out more.

  • Do you provide an international door installation service?

    Whilst we do not have our own local representatives in your region, we can provide full technical support across digital platforms, including training videos and telephone support. We work with a number of trade partners in local markets who may be able to support with installation. Visit our installation page or contact us to find out more.

  • Can you provide export packaging for onward shipping?

    Yes, all of our doors are packaged into bespoke heat-treated wooden crates suitable for overseas container shipping.

  • What width would I need my door to be to comply with DDA?

    To ensure compliance with the BS 8300-2:2018  Design of an accessible and inclusive built environment building regulation standard, doors and entrances should be designed and specified using ‘Effective Clear Opening Widths’ or (ECW).

  • How many minutes does a fire door need to be rated for?

    This is depending on the location of the doors and use & requirements of a building. Fire doors can be rated from 30 minutes up to 240 minutes internally and from 90 minutes to 240 minutes externally. If you would like to know more about how to choose the right fire door, read our short guide.

  • What is the difference between a fire exit and a fire door?

    A fire exit is designed to provide an easy escape route from a building and will always be an external door. It is usually fitted with some easy release exit hardware including a push bar and is does not necessarily provide protection from fire. A fire door is designed to provide protection against the effects of fire for a length of time. This can vary from 30 minutes up to 240 minutes depending on the level of protection required. Fire Doors can be fitted internally and externally on a building to provide ongoing fire protection.

  • What is the difference between the different door security ratings?

    A door's security rating is determined by the level of protection it provides against intruders. This varies depending on the type of tools used to try to penetrate the door and the time taken to withstand attack. For example, a BRE approved LPS 1175 SR3 rated door must be able to endure an attack lasting 5 minutes from an intruder with larger hand tools, including crowbars, cordless drills and gas torches.   • Do the size dimensions include the surrounding door frame?

    Door sizing is usually provided as the structural opening; this will include the surrounding framework. To correctly measure an existing door or gap, measurements should be taken from the frame or edge, rather than the door itself. For support on how to measure, contact us.

  • What is a door packer?

    Door packers are used to fit the door and frame to the surrounding building. They are designed to ensure your door is fitted securely and exactly where you want it to be. Packers are available in a range of thicknesses to ensure the optimal fit for the door.

  • How do you determine the handing of the door?

    To determine the handing of a Bradbury Group door, stand on the inside and face the existing door. If the hinges are on the left hand side of the door, the door is a left hand door. If the hinges are on the right hand side, the door is a right hand door. Where the door has a closer, this is always viewed as the inside of the door.   • Which doors provide the most security?

    Steel doors are the most secure. Additionally, steel doors are made to last, providing enhanced durability against the elements. Security rated doors can be certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) up to LPS 1175 SR8 and are subjected to a number of high impact intruder methods, including power tools such as grinders and saws.   • How many fire exits do I need in my building?

    The government’s guidance doesn’t give any hard and fast rules about how many fire exits your business premises needs. However, there are guidelines you need to follow to comply with fire safety regulations. We’ve condensed these in our blog, but you should make sure to read the government’s regulations in full so you’re absolutely clear about your duties as an employer.

  • How do I install communal entrance door?

  • What does a site survey include?

    A site survey conducted by a Bradbury surveyor consists of a visit to the site to take dimensions for manufacture and to gather all the relevant information to aid the installation by inspecting the site i.e. access/egress for the delivery and installation team, where the install locations are, how to manoeuvre the doors to the install locations, ensure the structural openings are compliant for the door set and to potentially minimise any possible problems prior to attendance. This essentially takes away the pressure from the customer.

  • Do you provide fitting instructions?

  • What fittings do I need for a security door?

    The quantity and type of fittings are dependant on the structural opening and security rating. There is a minimum requirement for fittings, however we recommend inserting fixings in each fixing slot in each side frame leg.

  • How do you install a fire door?

    Fire doors are fitted using a similar method to a standard door. However, there are certain elements of the installation that need to be accounted for including:
    • The structural opening must have an equal or more fire resistance to the door set to be installed.
    • The perimeter between the structural opening and the door needs to be fully sealed using fire rated silicone.
    • Metal packers and adjusters must be used at all times.
    • Additional items cannot be added or removed as this negates the fire rating of the door.

  • Do you need accreditation to fit a fire door?

    Whilst it is not a requirement to be an accredited installer of fire doors, it is advisable. This will ensure the installation is carried out correctly and that the door certification remains valid.

  • What is a door packer?

  • Can you install my doors?

    Yes. We have a skilled team of installers and engineers, who can provide a bespoke installation service. Find out more on our installation page.

  • What does your installation service include?

    A typical installation includes a site survey, technical advice & support, and full installation at the most convenient time to you. Our service can also include optional extras such as removal and disposal of old doorsets and arrangement of extra installation equipment. Find out more about our installation here.

  • Do you provide an international door installation service?

  • What are your frame profiles?

    For the M2M+ range, we have 90mm or 150mm. For our SR range 110mm.

  • Do you offer U Channels?

    Yes, however, these don’t come standard. You must request this.

  • What are the tolerances we use from structural to manufacture sizes?

    10mm on width and 5mm on the height

  • Do you provide a maintenance guide for your doors?

    Yes. Care, servicing and maintenance can be found in our Operations and Maintenance Manual.

  • Do you provide double swing doors?

    No, we don't provide double swing doors.

  • Are your doors supplied with a sill/threshold?

    Yes, our doors can be produced with a sill / threshold if required. As all of our doors are produced to your bespoke requirements, we can ensure the sill/threshold is exactly as you require.

  • Do your doors have a weather seal?

    Yes. All of our doors come with a weather seal on the inside of the door.

  • Do you offer a final paint finish?

    We offer a range of paint finishes including Matt, Gloss, Textured and wood grain effect. Our standard colour range consists of 48 colours. However, if a non-standard colour is required, we can source and paint based on your specific requirements. If you have a bespoke requirement, speak to your sales representative.

  • Do your doors come with a frame?

    Yes, all our doors come with a single rebate frame.

  • How much do your doors weigh?

    The weight of our steel doors vary depending on the size and type of door. A standard M2M+Express may weigh as little as 40kg. However, an SR4 rated door could weigh in excess of 200kg.

  • How many keys are supplied with your cylinders?

    The number of keys supplied depend on the cylinder type. Typically, a standard door cylinder will be supplied with three keys. However, this can vary depending on the brand and cylinder.

  • What hardware is supplied with your doors?

    This depends on the type of door. Our security rated doors are supplied with Mico hardware. Our M2M+ range of doors can be supplied with a range of hardware, including Union and Briton. If you have a specific requirement, please contact us.

  • Can my flood door also have security certification?

    Yes. Our flood doors, steel fire doors and acoustic doors come with optional certified security protection.   • Do you offer standardised steel doors?

    No. All of our products are bespoke, ensuring they meet the exact specifications of the project and customer. Find out more about our range of products here.

  • What are the benefits of steel doors?

    There are a range of benefits to choosing a steel door. Firstly, steel doors act as a deterrent during break-ins. They can also be certified as a security door, ensuring effective protection. Steel doors are very strong and durable. They are resistant to harsh weather conditions and insect infestations, as well as being drill proof, making it even more difficult to penetrate. Steel doors are fire resistant and can provide flood protection in the most vulnerable areas.   • What is your current leadtime for doors?

    We are proud to provide bespoke, made to measure doors. This means our lead times vary depending on the type of doorset and factory capacity. Typically our M2M Go range can be delivered in as little as seven days and our M2M 4 doors around 20 working days. We will always do our best to meet the requirements of your project.   • Will my doors come with a warranty?

    All of our doors come with a one year warranty as standard. If any maintenance or repairs are required outside of this period, we will be happy to work with you to find a solution. Please contact us to discuss your requirement.
