Fire doors are fitted using a similar method to a standard door. However, there are certain elements of the installation that need to be accounted for including:

• The structural opening must have an equal or more fire resistance to the door set to be installed.
• The perimeter between the structural opening and the door needs to be fully sealed using fire rated silicone.
• Metal packers and adjusters must be used at all times.
• Additional items cannot be added or removed as this negates the fire rating of the door.
