Employee Spotlight – Courtney McIntyre

What does your day-to-day look like?

“To give you an idea… I run the Bradbury Group social media pages, create campaigns, design digital artwork, draft award entries, write articles and spend lots of my time filming and editing videos or snapping photographs at Bradbury HQ. Every day is different in Marketing and our team’s remit is vast, but it definitely keeps me on my toes!”

How long have you been with Bradbury Group?

“I joined Bradbury Group back in October 2022, so around 10 months.”

What attracted you to the field of marketing, and what do you enjoy most about your role as a marketing executive?

“My background is actually in Public Relations & Communications and although similar to Marketing, it doesn’t allow for quite as much creative freedom. I’m a creative person by nature and always have been, so transitioning from PR & Comms to Marketing has been really positive. When I was younger I wanted to be a photographer, so I always look forward to the days where I know I’ll get to be behind a camera.”

Are there any particular marketing tools or technologies that you find most useful in your day-to-day work?

“Being such a fast-paced industry, I think all Marketing specialists can benefit from using Canva. Whether it be a presentation, a social media post, or a digital advert for a website, if you’re in a rush Canva makes creating good quality content fast and easy. I use it every day!

I also follow a lot of marketing-focused pages on social media to ensure I can stay up to date with industry news and see examples of great campaigns.”

Can you share a fun or interesting fact about yourself outside of work?

“Something a lot of people don’t know about me is that I’m a qualified beauty therapist. I don’t put my skills into practice but I do save money doing my own nails, eyebrows, and treatments at home.

If I have a spare afternoon, I love to bake. I often bring baked goods into the office and the feedback is that I make a decent lemon blondie!”

What is your motto/quote?

“Everything happens for a reason.”
