National Apprenticeship Week 2017

This week is the 10th National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2017), bringing together employers and apprentices from across England, to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade.

National Apprenticeship Week is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and traineeships, and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

As a proud employer and ambassador of apprenticeships, Bradbury has been actively involved in National Apprenticeship Week for several years now. We were also honoured to have been named North Lindsey College’s ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year,’ in 2016.

For this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, some of our apprentices will be taking part in a social media takeover, on North Lindsey College’s Twitter and Facebook on Wednesday 8th March, talking about their experiences as apprentices and answering questions about apprenticeships.

Our apprentices have also written about why they wanted to do an apprenticeship, and what it’s like to be an apprentice at Bradbury; these articles will be posted on our blog and Twitter throughout the week.

Representatives from Bradbury will also be attending North Lindsey College’s Apprenticeship Awards on Wednesday 8th March. Bradbury are sponsoring the ‘Engineering Apprentice of the Year’ award, which our very own Alex Todd has been nominated for. Alex completed his apprenticeship at Bradbury last year, and is now employed with us as a Design Engineer.
