Assuring Forced Entry Protection

Paul Sweeting, Bradbury Group’s Technical & Export Director, will be teaching the importance of a balanced specification at a physical security seminar taking place on Thursday 18th January, at the Novotel World Trade Centre Hotel in Dubai. With nearly 10 years’ experience in designing physical security products, Paul’s presentation will focus on how identifying the correct specification can assist with the challenge of balancing requirements, such as fire, acoustic and security, with the operational needs of a project or site.

The event will also host speakers from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (part of BRE Global, the internationally renowned building science organisation) and several other LPCB approved companies, including CLD Fencing Systems (high security fencing and gates), SGW Safety & Security (security consultancy and training), and Surelock McGill (high security locks and doors).

Continuing to promote security standards to a global audience, our exclusive partner in the Middle East, GIBCA Furniture Industries, will be hosting live LPCB attack test demonstrations on Wednesday 24th January, at their premises in Ajman. This will include opportunities to witness attack tests being conducted on a range of products to the LPS 1175 and EN 1627 standards for physical security.

As part of the live demonstrations, Bradbury doorsets will undergo various attacks to show the difference in resistance between an LPS 1175 SR3 certified doorset, and a standard steel security door.

These events are free to attend, and are aimed at specifiers, regulators, architects, security consultants and lead contractors. If you wish to attend, please email paul.sweeting@bradbury-group.com. You can also register to attend the live attack tests at the BRE exhibition stand at Intersec (S3-B10). If you are visiting the exhibition, please also be sure to visit Bradbury Martin Roberts (S3-A35).
