We are pleased to announce that Michelle Firth has been appointed Head of People at Bradbury Group in January 2025. A highly professional HR specialist with 25 years of experience in designing and implementing HR strategies across the FMCG, manufacturing, and engineering sectors, Michelle excels at building partnerships that deliver real value, with a deep appreciation for employee well-being engagement, and a people-centric culture.

Bradbury Group is a leading UK manufacturer of security and fire rated doors and aluminum communal entrance doors. With over 30 years’ expertise at the forefront of innovation, this role is key, due to the organisation’s dynamic growth plans. As part of the executive team with responsibility for designing and leading the people strategy, Michelle is looking forward to the opportunity of building on Bradbury’s success and incorporate new thinking around talent management, L&D, process development, health and safety, workforce planning, engagement and mentoring.

Michelle Firth said: “This role excites me because of its strategic focus, and part of the dynamic growth journey centered around people. What drew me to Bradbury was the strong alignment in priorities and the passionate, motivated team driven to see the business succeed. The owner’s family-oriented approach shows genuine care for both the business and its people. The company’s values are a standout feature – fair, trust, passionate and innovation – truly reflecting its mission and direction and I truly feel privileged to be part of Bradbury Group.”

Michelle has an impressive track record, spanning global manufacturing and engineering sectors. Her previous accomplishments include boosting gender diversity, implementing health and wellbeing programmes that improved retention and recruitment while reducing absenteeism, leading transformation and implementation projects such as HRIS systems, and successfully reversing a management decision to close a site, which ultimately became the most profitable division.

Tom Cornell, CEO of Bradbury Group added: “We have a clear vision and the determination to make it a reality. Michelle is a fantastic addition to our senior team and has already immersed herself in key projects. She brings the skills and expertise needed to help drive change and growth, and is a pleasure to work with, consistently bringing positivity to the team. Michelle will play a vital role in taking the organisation on the next stage of its journey.”
