Bradbury Group, a leading UK manufacturer of security, fire and communal entrance doors, is honoured to be shortlisted for London Construction Awards 2025 in the “Excellence in Sustainability – Product” category. This recognition highlights the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible construction practices and its ongoing contribution to a more sustainable built environment across the UK.
Bradbury’s success in this category is as a result of the launch of EcoLeaf, the UK’s first low carbon security-rated door with a 58% lower carbon footprint, compared to traditional steel doors on the market.
Tom Cornell, CEO, Bradbury Group says “With a record number of entries, we are proud to be shortlisted for the excellence in sustainability category at the London Construction Awards. In an ever-changing world where safety and security are paramount, Bradbury Group’s steel doors stand tall as a symbol of sustainability, reliability, protection, and craftsmanship, and we are proud to serve our many customers across the UK and worldwide.”
Steel is the planet’s largest carbon-emitting manufacturing sector, responsible for 7% of all man-made greenhouse gas emissions. Bradbury’s launch of EcoLeaf is in partnership with thyssenkrupp Materials UK, Germany’s largest flat steel producer who are resolutely pursuing a goal of producing steel using a completely carbon-neutral pathway by 2045.
The London Construction Awards celebrate achievements, developments, and innovation across the UK’s booming construction industry. The Sustainability category recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional leadership and innovation in reducing environmental impact, improving energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable building practices. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 26 September, bringing together key players from across the construction sector.
