Paving The Way to Becoming World-Class

On our journey to becoming a world-class manufacturer and provider of physical security solutions, Bradbury Group has appointed a new Group Managing Director and expanded its senior leadership team to help drive the Group towards achieving its vision.

Bringing with him a wealth of leadership experience and business acumen, Richard Butler has been appointed as Group Managing Director of Bradbury Group, including the four subsidiaries: Bradbury Security, Newton Security Doors, Martin Roberts, and Liddle Doors.

After a successful three-decade career at JCB, the multinational corporation, where he held numerous senior level positions, Richard spent a year at Optare PLC as CEO, before joining Bradbury Group on Monday 2nd March 2020.

As Group Managing Director, Richard hopes to continue to strengthen the subsidiaries and drive synergies across the Group, driving a customer-focused approach throughout every aspect of the business.

Richard’s appointment means Bradbury Group founder, Tim Strawson, has become Group Chairman. Leading the senior board, Tim will focus on the strategic direction of the business.

On the appointment of Richard, Tim remarked: “I am delighted that Richard has joined the business as Group Managing Director. Richard has a wealth of experience in managing business operations, which I know will help us on our journey to becoming world-class.”

In response to the Group’s growth, and to help develop and drive a new business strategy, Strawson has expanded the senior board. As well as the addition of Butler, two highly-experienced businessmen have been appointed as non-executive directors.

Oliver Hoffman, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Mazars, advises UK-based and international companies on growth, acquisitions and financial transactions. Julian Cook, former Vistage Group Chairman, has 12 years of experience in coaching business owners and directors.

“These key changes to the leadership team are a positive step to support the Group’s ambitious growth plans across all of its divisions. We will continue to focus on product development and operational excellence, ensuring that we place our customers at the heart of all of our activities,” says Butler. “We have ambitious plans for the Group and its subsidiaries, which we look forward to sharing with the industry in the near future.”
