Local student completes work placement at Bradbury Group

The Bradbury Academy is a scheme that is dedicated to education, training, and the development of skills; these values are aimed at both our employees and any placements that we are lucky enough to welcome into our group.

As with all work experience placements within the Bradbury Group, Charlie engaged with all areas of the business, from Sales to Engineering, during his week with us. “In each department, I was taught how everything worked,” he said.

During his time with the Marketing department, Charlie presented a positive attitude and took photographs, created digital assets for social media, and completed a creative writing task.

When tasked with creating a new logo for the group, Charlie produced this:

When asked why he chose Bradbury Group, he said: “The reason I chose Bradbury’s is because it could give me an insight of day to day life in an engineering manufacturing workshop.

“I spoke to one of the maintenance team and this has pushed me further towards my aspirations of becoming an qualified maintenance engineer.”

He expressed that the most interesting part of his work placement was “seeing a flat piece of metal turn into a security door, and seeing all the components that go into the safety of the doors on the factory floor”.

We ended Charlie’s placement by asking him to describe his experience in three words. He said:
