We are delighted to announce that our Managing Director, Tim Strawson, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards, for his contributions to the business community and the Lincolnshire region.
Bradbury Group originally started life as Bradbury Security Grilles in 1991. Tim’s drive and passion for his work and his commitment to finding the best solutions for his customers has helped shape and define what Bradbury Group is today: the UK’s leading supplier of steel doors and physical security solutions.
Tim has grown a staff count of three people into a strong tight-knit team comprising hundreds of local staff that share Tim’s passion for providing the best levels of customer service and high-quality products to customers.
After moving the business from Luton to Scunthorpe in 1994, Tim has forged strong links in the Lincolnshire region, and has always been passionate about giving back to the local community. Tim set up charities and not-for-profit enterprises, Bradbury Academy and Youth Engineering Scunthorpe, to help young individuals in the region gain valuable experience and manufacturing skills they need to find full-time employment.
As Bradbury Group announced its recent expansion into new premises earlier this year, Tim holds high aspirations for the company, with profits forecast to increase year on year.
On winning the Lifetime Achievement Award, Tim jokes that he isn’t old enough to receive the accolade, and hopes that he has much more to give to Bradbury Group and its hometown of Scunthorpe.
